Last updated June 2026 · Private beta
Temenos Life is in private beta. You are using an early version, by invitation, and your use helps shape what it becomes. By creating an account during the beta you acknowledge that:
Temenos Life ("Temenos", "we") is a personal wellbeing record: a private place to keep journal entries, blood test values, recipes, meal plans, life milestones and preferences, with optional AI-assisted reflection. It is operated as a small independent project, currently in private beta.
Temenos is not a medical device, healthcare service, therapy service, or emergency resource. Nothing in the app — including AI-generated text — is medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. See the Health Disclaimers, which form part of these terms.
You need an account (email/password or Google sign-in) to use Temenos. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. Each account is for one person — Temenos is built around strictly individual, private records. You must be at least 18 to use Temenos during the beta.
Everything you put into Temenos remains yours. Journal entries, health values, life milestones, preferences — you own them. You give us only the limited permission needed to store them, show them back to you, and (where you use an AI feature) process them to generate your reflection or suggestion. We claim no other rights over your content.
Don't attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the service, reverse-engineer the AI integrations, or use Temenos for anything unlawful. We may suspend accounts that put other users or the service at risk.
Some features use AI models to generate text (reflections, blood panel summaries, recipes). AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or generic. It is provided for reflection and inspiration only, and you use it at your own judgment. The AI Limitations section forms part of these terms.
Temenos is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for decisions you make based on content in the app (including AI-generated content), for data loss during the beta, or for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
You can stop using Temenos at any time and request full deletion of your account and data. We may close the beta or discontinue the service; if we do, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to retrieve or delete your data first.
We may update these terms as the product evolves. If we make material changes, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, run third-party analytics trackers, or build behavioural profiles. There are no ads in Temenos and there never will be data sold to anyone.
Your data is stored in a Supabase database hosted in the United States, protected by row-level security: every record is bound to your account, and the database itself enforces that no other user can read it.
No one else receives your data. We never sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything beyond running Temenos for you.
Blood values, conditions and journal entries are sensitive. We treat all your Temenos records to the same standard we would want for our own. That said, Temenos is a small independent beta, not a hospital system: it is not certified under healthcare-specific regulations such as HIPAA. If you need clinically certified storage, keep your originals with your healthcare provider and treat Temenos as your personal reflection copy.
We keep your data for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account (or ask us to), it is removed as described under Deletion & Your Rights.
The short version, with nothing hidden:
What your data is never used for: advertising, selling, training AI models, ranking you, or anything that treats your inner life as a product. Temenos is a sanctuary, not a data business.
Temenos uses Claude, an AI model by Anthropic, to generate reflections, blood panel summaries, and recipes. It is genuinely useful — and genuinely limited. You should know:
Temenos is not medical care, and it is not therapy. No part of the app — including AI-generated reflections, blood panel summaries, recipes, and meal plans — is medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or mental health care.
Blood tracking shows your own recorded values over time. Reference-range flags are arithmetic, not clinical judgment. Always review results with a qualified clinician, and never start, stop or change medication, supplements or treatment based on anything in Temenos. Recipes and meal plans are general wellness inspiration — not nutrition therapy or treatment for any condition.
Journaling and AI reflection can be meaningful companions to inner work — they are not a replacement for it, and not a replacement for professional support. Temenos cannot recognise crisis and will not respond to one. If you are in distress or thinking about harming yourself, stop using the app and reach a human now: someone you trust, a local crisis line, or emergency services. Temenos is a place to reflect when you are safe — people are who hold you when you are not.
Some people use Life to hold integration notes from therapy, ceremony, or other deep work. Temenos witnesses what you record; it does not guide, prepare, or supervise any practice. Decisions about such work, and the support around it, belong with you and qualified humans.
In Preferences → Danger zone you can do either of these yourself, immediately:
Both require a typed confirmation, and account deletion adds a short pause before the final button works — deliberate friction for an irreversible act. Deletion is enforced at the database level — every table that holds your records cascades from your account — and it is permanent and unrecoverable. If you prefer, you can also email hello@temenoslife.com from your account email and we will do it for you within 30 days.
Anything unclear on this page, or anything you want to know about your data: hello@temenoslife.com. You will get an answer from a person.
